We check for new recalls regularly, but always verify your product's batch number on the official recall pages linked below.
Quick answer: In 2026, formulas from Nestlé (SMA, BEBA, NAN, Guigoz, Alfamino and others), Lactalis (Picot), Danone (Aptamil, Cow & Gate), one Kendamil product sold at Costco Canada, a2 Platinum (USA label) and Nara Organics were recalled. As of October 28, 2026, we found no 2026 recall notices for HiPP, Holle, Jovie, Kabrita, NannyCare or Pure Goat formulas.

Are the Brands We Sell Affected?
- HiPP, Holle, Jovie, Kabrita, NannyCare and Pure Goat: As of October 28, 2026, we found no 2026 recall notices for these brands from the FDA, Health Canada or the UK Food Standards Agency.
- Kendamil: The only 2026 Kendamil recall was for Kendamil Infant Formula with whole milk (1049 g tins) sold at Costco in Canada. This is a different product and tin size from the Kendamil UK and EU formulas we carry.

What Is Cereulide and Why Was It a Concern?
Most of the 2026 recalls involved possible cereulide, a toxin produced by some strains of the bacterium Bacillus cereus. Several brands were affected because the problem was traced to an ingredient (ARA oil) from a single supplier.
- It can cause vomiting and stomach upset, usually within hours.
- Babies are more vulnerable to dehydration.
- Cereulide is heat-stable, so preparing formula with hot water does not make an affected product safe.
- Many of these recalls were precautionary, and most reported no confirmed illnesses.
How to Check If Your Formula Is Recalled
- Find the batch (lot) number and best-before date on the bottom of your tin or box.
- Compare them with the official recall notice for that brand (links above).
- If they match, stop using the product and return it to the store or follow the manufacturer's instructions.
- If your baby drank an affected product and you're worried, or your baby shows symptoms such as vomiting, contact your pediatrician.
Signs that need urgent medical care include constant vomiting, signs of dehydration (very few wet diapers, a dry mouth, unusual sleepiness), and, for botulism, constipation together with weak sucking, a weak cry, drooping eyelids or floppiness.
How to Store and Prepare Infant Formula Safely
Whatever brand you use:
- Store unopened tins and boxes in a cool, dry place.
- Always use the scoop provided and follow the mixing instructions exactly.
- Use prepared formula within the time stated on the pack.
- Throw away any formula left in the bottle after a feed.

Have there been baby formula recalls in 2026?
Yes. Nestlé, Lactalis and Danone recalled specific batches in Europe and other markets early in the year, Kendamil recalled one product in Canada, and a2 Platinum and Nara Organics recalled formula in the USA. See the table above for details.
